Recently, iFixit received approval for the modification plan of its new location. The company is now on track to begin renovations for a warehouse located in Onion Bottom Station. Once complete, the facility will house iFixit’s distribution and back-office operations, creating 200 jobs in Hamilton County.

iFixit is an innovative tech company from California focused on putting tools in the customer’s hands. They encourage sustainability by providing the resources people need to repair their devices instead of throwing them away.

In July 2022, iFixit announced its plan to connect to its East Coast customer base and decided to invest $24.2 million to establish a new location in Chattanooga.

“This location will be a world-class facility to expand our partnerships with companies like Google and Samsung. Chattanooga is a strategic distribution location that will allow us to get products in the hands of our customers quickly. As the Right to Repair movement takes the world by storm, we expect the market will see a dramatically increased need for repair parts and tools,” Luke Soules, COO, iFixit says.
