As part of our mission to foster a business community that promotes diversity and inclusion, last week the Chattanooga Chamber hosted the Women’s Unity Breakfast presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. Held at Six18 Restaurant, the breakfast program provided attendees with valuable information on ways to increase the strength, achievement and influence of women in the workforce.

Janelle Reilly, CEO of CHI Memorial and the Chattanooga Chamber’s 2022-2023 Board Chair, served as Keynote Speaker. Nicole Brown, Manager of Community Benefits and Diversity for CHI Memorial, moderated an energetic Q&A with Reilly.

Topics covered included: Systemic disparities in health outcomes and the social determinants of health, supplier diversity, salary negotiation for women executives, Jenelle Reilley’s career story, and how to build a supportive and collaborative workplace culture to help manage large organizations.
